The Austrian squad has confirmed a new line-up for the 2026 F1 campaign, promoting French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and giving British teenager Arvid Lindblad his debut F1 drive.
The young driver, who is of Swedish and Indian heritage, will be the partner of Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the junior outfit VCARB.
This driver musical chairs results in Japan's Yuki Tsunoda being without a drive post a half-decade in F1.
Arvid Lindblad took part in first practice for the British and Mexico City Grands Prix this year.
Lindblad has been identified as a potential future star by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old.
Regarding the company's junior academy, a senior Red Bull figure noted last year that Lindblad "looks really promising", praising his "raw pace".
The team has had a plan for some time to ready Lindblad for his potential F1 debut in 2026, featuring runs in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City.
The rookie said it was a "dream come true", commenting: "2026 will be a massive test, and I know there's much to understand, but I'm prepared to collaborate with the team and step up. I am incredibly excited to get started."
He has won a couple of victories in F2 this year and is sixth in the standings heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi.
The French driver celebrates his first podium in F1, secured at the Dutch Grand Prix in August.
The Frenchman's debut season started in difficult fashion when he spun out on the formation lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has emerged as one of the stand-out rookies of the year.
He included an outstanding top-three result at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies 10th in the drivers' standings.
A senior team figure said: "Isack has displayed great maturity and proved to be a fast adapter. Most importantly, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can thrive alongside Max."
The promoted driver called it "an awesome move" and said he felt "prepared".
To partner Lindblad at the junior team, Red Bull have chosen Lawson instead of Tsunoda.
The New Zealander started 2025 with the main team but was demoted after just two races. He has settled back in at Racing Bulls with notable results, convincing Red Bull he merits more time.
The Japanese driver, meanwhile, loses his place after a difficult season. His highest finish is a P6, and he has scored a minor percentage of the team's constructors' championship.
These announcements confirm that there is also no spot on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 next season.
