The tall defender A nuisance from dead balls, per usual, but may be an alternative to his teammate at the back rather than his partner. A careless distribution after the break nearly resulted in an opener from Albania. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly One more composed display from the rising star following his initial appearance versus Serbia. A teammate did not capitalize on full advantage of a clever flick behind the Albania defence. The left-back spot is firmly his at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton His first start with the national team. Slightly sloppy when playing out but his dangerous corners were a threat. A handy tempo-setter available to the boss to call upon against defensive opponents. Booked for a rash foul. Six

Declan Rice Crosses from corners and set-plays created chances. Enjoyed freedom to drift down the left flank but was offside upon receiving in front of goal. Given a merited rest after an hour. Six

The star midfielder Played in an advanced position on the right and contributed with the hard yards. Displayed moments of class but dragged a shot high. Substituted towards the end for Rogers, a fellow player, after being booked. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's best chance before halftime, his shot well saved from Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to offer an outlet on the right although his balls from wide areas varied in quality. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his 77th and 78th goals in an England shirt. The opener a classic opportunist's goal and his next a superb header following a clever run from his marker. At 32, his form is unwavering and England have every chance in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by the midfielder yet Strakosha made the save. His replacement produced a bigger an impact after coming on. Five
